We measure the age of a tree by the rings that it has, the more rings the older the tree, the more experience and life the tree has seen.  As the rings grow, they become the core for branches to grow, leaves to bud and eventually new seeds to drop. As a sapling looks up to the great oak in awe, we too look to our elders for loving guidance and knowledge that can only be gained through time lived. The Tree of Grandparents reminds us of the wisdom and love that is shared between generations. And to be grateful for the special bonds developed and role that grandparents have in our lives.

Brought to the United States originally shipped from the living room table of designer Stephen Kitras and wife Elke, Kitras Glass Ball originated in Canada. The corporation grew from a one-man glass blower operation of 1988 to a corporation in 1994. The continued family owned business is currently employing its second generation. The brand continues to follow their vision, "to be recognized as an excellent glass blowing studio that produces innovative, beautiful, and decorative glass objects."
